The HVRHS Alumni Association Scholarship Fund originated in 1998 by selling HVRHS

souvenir pins as well as from annual membership dues of five dollars. As of January 1, 2020

all HVRHS graduates automatically become members and it is now totally funded by Alumni donations. The first scholarships were awarded to two graduates in the amount of $150 each in 1999. In 2002, it was increased to a single amount of a $300 award. Since then, the award has steadily increased to $1,000 per student since 2007

The Alumni Association awards a scholarship each year to an eligible senior who: 1) must have attended HVRHS for all four years, 2) had parents or grandparents who graduated from HVRHS, and 3) has been accepted at an institute of higher learning. To apply, the senior must complete the HVRHS Alumni Association Scholarship form, available from the Guidance Department and by choosing the link below. The final selection is made by an Alumni Board of Directors' committee. The scholarship award is not renewable.
